Advanced Searches

You can force a search to include or exclude terms used in a search using "–" or "+" before each term.

By default, documents found contain ALL of the terms entered.

Use "–" before each term that must not be in any of the documents found in the search results.

By selecting to find "ANY" of the words, you can expand the use of "–" or "+" to form more complex queries such as:

finds documents that may contain "king" but must contain "tut."

finds documents that may contain "king" and must contain "tomb" but not those containing "tut."
