There seems to be an allusion to Khepri, the rising sun deity, in Isaiah 14:12-13.
"How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer [Helel], son of the morning*
[how] art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken
the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into
heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit
also upon the mount of the congregation" - KJV*Note the epithet, "son of the morning"
Compare with utterance 600 from the Pyramid Texts:
"O Atum-Khepri, You became high in the height,
You rose up as the Ben Ben stone [primordial mound/mountain]
In the mansion of the Phoenix in Heliopolis."Since 'Helel' means "Shining One", followed by the epithet "Son of the morning" in Isaiah 14:12, it appears to be an allusion to Khepri as the rising sun!
Maybe the expression "cut down to the ground" refers to a late afternoon solar eclipse, or some other solar phenomenon?
