Underneath are the everlasting arms

That sure is interesting! I hadn't paused to consider Abraham's connection with Aten as I was reading that section of the book, but Djehuty's tomb inscription at Deir el-Bahari seems to confirm biblical accounts of Patriarchal conversations with/prayers to Adon (in its multiple forms).
Another observation as I was reading Moses' blessings of the 12 tribes - I came across the following verses, and immediately thought of the Aten depicted with rays extending downwards and with "hands" giving blessings. Adonai YHWH of the hosts of war (the celestial ruler of the heavenly hosts) is also alluded to in these verses:
Deu 33:26 There is none like the El of Jeshurun, who rides upon the heavens to help you, and on the clouds, in his excellency.
Deu 33:27 The eternal Elohim is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before you; and shall say, Destroy.
Majestically riding through the heavens with "arms" extended underneath to help... sure seems like typical Aten/Adon (sun) imagery to me.
