Pharaohs daughters?

Just have to say first Hi and what a facinating site this is. I've been lurking here for a few weeks now soaking up the info and I have a couple of questions:
1 In one of your essays Charles you say that the daughters of a Pharaoh were not normally sent to marry other kings, so what was their place in society? Did they marry? I see some were married back to their fathers for continuity purposes but what of the others?
2 The Pharaoh Aknenaten/Moses - do you know the origins of the name Moses? It's meaning or relevance to him?
