www.domainofman.com/forum/index.cgi?read=2077In brief, the inter-related Roman and Herodian royal families were behind the formation of Christianity and responsible for its rapid spread within the Roman/Herodian world. Consistent with this view, the three wise men would have been three royal stooges directed by Herod the Great. Herod had no intention of killing the child he already had designated for the role of "Messiah". He clearly wanted that child to fulfill all applicable prophesies and at the same time exclude all other children from doing so. No supernatural or Nubirian explanations are required!
