Hi John
I'm just wondering what you might think about the "Tree of life" itself? Some people say that the "tree" symbol represents a person since there are examples in prophetic books of the bible that use such imagery, ie. trees = people. I figure symbolism can vary, as well as endure for thousands of centuries, and I have no idea what the Genesis author had in mind. Many cultures have retained a "tree of life" imagery, replete with fruits, birds and animals, and it is often depicted in carpets/rugs from the middle east through to China. What do you think?
