What is "The Glory of the Lord"?
This thing, the "Glory of the Lord", seems to pop up regularly during the exodus.
Such as Exodus 16:6 (NIV) "and in the morning you will see the glory of the Lord ..."
The "glory of the Lord" seems to be some flying machine since it is apparently noisy and creates smoke etc. whenever it appears.
Sometimes it gets parked in the house of the Lord, it consumes burnt offerings and in general seems to be a terrifying thing.
Just for a little laugh I substituted "helicopter" for the words "glory of the Lord" and the substitution fitted quite well.
Does anyone have a logical explanation for this amazing thing?
And if there is a connection to the 18th and 19th Egyptian Dynasties, what is it?
