Thanks Ron, my, you have been busy! Re: the name issue, as Caucasian tribesmen moved westward, they named and renamed the new lands based on the names they used in the 'Olde Country." So that shouldn't confuse us.
What interests me is more the oral traditions and writings they used to frame the stories they wanted to tell. So the "writers" unless they were eye witnesses probably based most of their war stories on earlier war stories. It is not that there weren't wars, it is just that the documentation about them had to be very scarce.
