Charles,
I have some references about Amenhotep III’s officials from “Amen-Hotep III: El esplendor del Sol”, by Francisco J. Martín Valentín (Madrid, 1998)

Mr. Martín quotes some “Royal House Servers”:
1- Amenhotep, son of Heby, “Mayor of Memphis”. He was succeed by his son Ipy circa AM31 (year 31 of Amenhotep III).
2- Amenemhat /Surer, son of Itchet-taui and Mut-Tuy (“Royal Ornament”) (Mr. Martín quotes from Säve-Söderbergh, T.: Four Eighteen Dynasty Tombs (Private Tombs at Thebes I), Oxford 1957, p 35)). He had a brother named Setau. Surer disappeared circa AM31.
3- Kherueph, also named Senaa, son of Siked (“Army Scribe”) and Ruiu (“Royal Concubine” and “Singer of Amen”). He had a sister, Henut-Nefert, also “Singer of Amen”. Kherueph disappeared circa AM31.
4- Khaemhat, also named Mahu, “Royal Scribe”, son of Imhotep (“Taxes Inspector”) and Tiy. His wife also was named Tiy. He disappeared circa AM37.
5- Nefer-sekheru, “Royal Scribe”, son of Neby (“Judge”) and Lady Hepu. He was deprived and pursued circa AM34.

Among Civil Administration officials was:
1- Ramose, Vizier of South, son of Neby (also written Heby?) and Ipuia (“Ornament of Hathor”). Deprived circa AM31).

Among Army Administration officials was:
1- Horemheb (he was not Pharaoh Horemheb). He was fall in disgrace circa AM13 (Aling, A Prosopographical Study of the Reigns of Thutmosis IV and Amenhotep III, Minnesota, 1976, p 149). His tomb is TT(Theban Tomb)78.

El-REB quotes a relationship between Neby’s family and Amenhotep-son-of-Hapu. Mr. Martin quotes from Davies (Davies, The Tomb of the Vizier Ramosis, London 1941) to prove that there was a unnamed man from Athribis (Northern Egypt) who was three sons: Heby, Hapu and Neby. They respectively were married to Tutuya, Atu and Ipuia, and respectively were the fathers of Amenhotep (“Royal Steward”), Amenhotep (“the Wise”) and Ramosis (“Vizier”). Ramosis was married to Merit-ptah, daughter of his cousin Amenhotep the Steward.

Amenhotep-son-of-Hapu (“the Wise”) died circa AM31, when his cousins and other officials were deprived. Conspiracy? How did Amenhotep died? Did he commit suicide (as Manetho states) or was he forced to commit suicide like Socrates and Seneca?

Charles, I hope that these references be useful for you.
