Yes, that sounds like a solid association. The main temple of YHWH (Amen) most certainly was at Ta-Ipet/Karnak during the Patriarchal Era. In Part II of my book, I will show that it continued to be so through the times of Ezekiel and Jeremiah.

The cult of Seth/Baal/Montu was much older than that of Amen, and it was the dominant cult of Upper Egypt prior to the advent of Amen. Amen originally incorporated Montu, and we must assume that it also included the salient features of Montu worship. Over time, some of the extreme practices such as literal sacrifice of firstborn children must have been eliminated or modified, such as sacrificing an animal in place of a human offspring.
