Visitors of this site may find Acharya S' article " The Origins of Christianity and the Quest for the Historical Jesus" to be of some interest. She links Jesus to a multitude of characters including Horus, Mithra, Krishna and Buddha, but surprisingly makes no mention of Tutankhamen. She writes scholarly and clearly. her etymological arguments are particularly interesting. Example:
"the very name "Christ" comes from the Hindi word "Kris" (as in Krishna), which is a name for the sun"; also striking is the similarity between El-Osiris and El-Azarus in the story of raising from the dead.
