Interesting that Titus would call the "loose canon" Mucianus into account as Paul was earlier taken to task by Aristobulus.
Do believe you are right that there are many more surprises waiting for us in the Book of Acts.
Right now I'm researching the Persian Period. A court physician of that time also wrote a controversial, racy history. I suspect we will learn something about Acts by studying that earlier work of Ctesias (reign of Artaxerxes II).
