Another example of history repeating itself!
Flavius Crispus was the first born son of Constantine and Minervina.
In 326 Crispus life came to a sudden end on the orders of his father.
Crispus dying words: “My lord, my father, why have you forsaken me?”
Constantine suspected Crispus of a crime so terrible that death was not enough. After careful consideration Constantine became convinced that Crispus was guilty of “INNOCENCE” and should also suffered “Damnatio Memoriae”, meaning his name was never mentioned again and was deleted from all official documents and monuments.
This was equal to Damnation of ones Memory.
Crispus, his wife Helena and their son were never to be mentioned again in historical records.
