"Salute Herodion my kinsman."
According to AHM Jones in _The Herods of Judaea_ (The passage in Josephus doesn't dance out of my head and onto the Post at this point), Herod divided his Court along the Greek line of "Friend", Honored Friend", "Guardian of the Realm" and "Kinsman". I use this to unravel the Banquet Seating parable where Jesus advises to sit at the lowest end of the banquet table and let the banquet master move you up so you might be "Honored" by your "Friends", indicating that at least one of the Jesus party goes way back to Herod's reign.
What would Herodion the Kinsman mean?
