You wrote; "Flavius Josèphe tells that Helen gave this sampsera to Monobaze:

"So queen Helena complied with this counsel of theirs, and set up Monobazus, the eldest son, to be king, and put the diadem upon his head, and gave him his father's ring, with its signet; as also the ornament which they call Sampser""

If you look closely, you will notice that all of the items mentioned are presently ornaments of the Pope, or Cardinals of the Catholic or Orthodox churches! A signet ring, a diadem, and a "sampser", which is more than likely just another way to say "censer!", or the incense burner! Thus it is called an "ornament" in the above passage! Ornament = censer!

But, this is just my opinion, and I could be wrong?

Regarde' vous!
