I have chosen to devote most of my time and energy in the historical era. However, a good working knowledge of mythology has proven indispensable for understanding the historical era.

In general, Sitchin often confuses later role playing with the original "primal scene".

I don't have anything else concise to give you on this. Basically, if one accepts my reconstruction (found in the on-line book) of the time of Abraham in the early Egyptian New Kingdom, then it becomes clear that the destruction of "Sodom and Gomorrah" was a re-enactment of a far earlier event, and one that likely involved a meteorite impact rather than a nuclear detonation and alien activity. However, in myth, a meterorite could be considered a type of "god" or a judgment of the gods.
