Did you catch "Digging for Truth" last night? It was a about the 2003 discovery of a royal burial at the Petra site called "The Treasury" (El Khasnah). They now think it was actually the family tomb of Aretes IV! Yet, knowing that Aretes IV was likely better known by the Herodian name Costabarus and by the Roman name L. Domitius Ahenobarbus, grandfather of Emperor Nero (a.k.a. L. Domitius Ahenobarbus), we should suspect that the bones found in Petra were not actually those of Aretes and his immediate family, although it wasn't necessarily a bad place to put them.
