Hi Charles, yes I agree, it is highly unlikely that Aristo III's body would have been cremated. I am certain that if anything is to be found, it would be in Rome or in the Herodian estates in Southern France.
That is what I always surmised that the Holy Blood/Holy Grail crowd were after anyway. The paintings of Poussin: 'Les Bergers d'Arcaie', and Rennes Le-Chateaux et al.
It is the grave of Jesus, methinks, that they were really after.
