King Agrippa II has been referred to as Julius Agrippa, yet in the Mishna he is referred to as King Jannai, which seems to be a reference to Janneus.
Has anyone compared the meanings of Julius and Janneus? I know that Ju/Ja and Yu/Ya can be synonomous, as Yuya can also be spelled Yaya or Yuyu.
If they have the same meaning it will really close the gap between Hasmoneans and Flavians.
