I've been very impressed with the collection of contributers over at "Caesar's Messiah". Obviously many of you have been working on the Roman element of the Gospels for quite a long time, but I don't find any petty disputing over who thought of what first.
I'll definitely check out your web site. The story of Archelaus is very odd. I think he was pigeon-holed as a "Rehobaom, successor of Solomon". Even though he tried to be humble, the people wouldn't let him. Finally, he just gave into the stereotype and acted "foolishly" just like he was expected to do!
