Here's a couple of links about the geographer/historian "Strabo of Cappadocia", who was related to the royal family of Pontus and whose life span coincided closely with Caesar Augustus.
Josephus cites Strabo extensively in Book 14 of Antiquities, the book just preceding the passage relating to the death of Antigonus in Book 15.
It would be interesting to explore the use of Strabo by Josephus, especially in the furtherance of views that were generally considered false. See, for example, endnote 3 of Book 14 above.
