It's amazing how quiet the Da Vinci debate has been since the release of the movie. Possibly the movie itself has squashed much of the controversy.
Much to my own surprise, I really enjoyed the movie. Also, Ron Howard did a good job of dancing around the historical errors made in the book, e.g., by having the Professor and Teabing get into an argument about what happened at the Council of Nicene. My main criticism of the movie is that it tended to lecture at times. These unnecessary, intersperced explanations disrupted the flow of the film and made it longer than it needed to be.
Supposedly a new book has just been published this week about a woman claim of being a descendant of Jesus and Mary Magdalene. The below article was feature on The Daily Grail.
