It's been a great summer. The time away from the "beast" has been refreshing. There have been some interesting discussions in my absense I see. Is there a connection between Biblical Enoch (Enki/Ea/Yah) and the Egyptian expression Anuk ("I Am")? And the name Osarseph, what are we to make of this? Definitely connects to Joseph and to Osiris (Asar). When we make the further link to Akhenaten son of Yuya ("Joseph") it is even more interesting. We have already talked about Akhenaten's identification with Abraham (as an Osiris figure). The name Orus seems to relate better to the "golden" king Nebmaatre Amenhotep III (a.k.a. "The Great Hor").
Although I've been away from the Internet, I haven't stopped thinking about history. Presently I'm making a study of the "Table of Nations" in Genesis 10. The emphasis on Japheth and Greek peoples leads me to conclude that it could not have been constructed prior to the conquest of Alexander. Perhaps other elements of Genesis and the Torah were developed prior to that time, but the finishing touches now seem solidly in the Greek Era. That was a surprise to me!
