There were so many Da Vinci Code related shows on last night I got dizzy trying to keep up with them all. Mainly I watched the first hour of the History Channel special on Freemasonry. Then I switched over to the A&E special on the making of the Da Vinci Code movie. That was pretty cool! Discovery Channel had an episode of their "Conspiracy Files" series. This seemed to be a Da Vinci debunking, at least judging from the few snippets I caught.
I'm amazed at the clever little things the debunkers come up with. For example, "Jesus could not have had a son, otherwise he would have succeeded Jesus as head of the Church". Or, "If Mary Magdalene was the wife of Jesus, why does the Bible only distinguish her by the name Magdalene?" But how in the world can anyone consider themselves a Biblical scholar and not perceive the significance of the epithet Magdalene? The Gospels all but spell it out for us!
MARY MAGDALENE WAS THE WIFE OF JESUS AND THE MOTHER OF HIS HEIRS.
If anybody still doesn't get it, then God bless them real good.
