Fitting discussion for this first weekend of roundball madness. The word gal means round, rolling, or turning, and can connote piling up (as stones for a monument). Seems to be a very flexible word. In modern usage it apparently can mean an ocean wave. When I was in Israel I met a girl whose name was Gal. She gave me a Hebrew lesson I won't ever forget! But it seems we are now getting off-topic as well as off-color.
