At the above site, you will see the history of all of the popes in the 10th century CE. Can anyone explain why aaverage popes seemed to die after short reigns, but ancient kings reigned for many years on the average, even back to Old Testament times. Could being a pope be more dangerous in the 10th Century CE, than being a King in the 10th Century BCE?
Maybe you should try and compare the rules of each from the time of David (about 1,000 BCE, and upwards to the time of Christ, with the reigns of these popes.
