Since we keep mentioning the Maccabees or Maccabeans on this list, I wonder if any of you consider Arabia as a connection? Afterall, Mecca is just as correctly spelled as Makka! The house of Herod, seems to have had Arabian connections, so why not were the Makkabees, some of the Jews from Mekka/Mecca who later supposedly helped Muhammed?
It just seems that it would help correlate some things. Such as a few or at least one work that supposes that the Israelites wandered throughout Arabia, instead of tiny Sinai, and that they conquerered Mecca / Makka and found the holy stones/tablets there, etc..
