My model is based on many things, not just a naive reading of hieroglyphs. There is no way to scientifically prove the fatherhood of Tut, even with DNA, because we don't know that the mummy of Amenhotep III is properly marked and we don't have a mummy marked as Akhenaten. Yet by using a multi-dimensional approach there is a high degree of certainty in the identification I've made. Not all of my associations will be right. In some cases there is little genealogical information available and I have made the best judgment based on expected typecasting. The important thing is that we can now begin to understand the culture of the royal court and the rules by which they played out their deadly game.
