Hi Peter, Hi Charles,
Ahkenaten/moses was not hated for his religious reforms. He was hated because he ordered his son Eli-jah, (Smenkhare) to kill "the 400 prophets of Baal and the 450 prophets of Ashera who ate at Jezebel's table" (ie., who wroked for Queen Tiye.) 1 Kings 19.
1 Kings 40, "And Elijah said to them, Sieze the prophets of Baal; let none of them escape...he brought them down to the Kishon and killed them there."
It was the karma created by murder, nothing else, that brought Ahkenaten down. It all dependes on whose side you were on. But for us as historians, we cannot take sides, the facts speak for themselves.
Have a great day!
