A politically motivated marriage is still a marriage. Ahkenaten's dad had quite a few foreign wives - so the story goes.
I agree there is tremendous Egyptian influence on "Christianity."
I never meant to minimize that.
PS: 2 points. 1. Jesus didn't die on the cross, therefore, he would have had reason to hide from the Romans. When do you think he wrote the Gospels of John and Thomas!, and 2. There were other christians besides Jesus (James the Just, for example) and they needed a place to plan their actions in fighting for their freedom.
