"Anti", a Greek contrivance?

I was just interested in how each of you would define the use of "anti", in the following;

Anti-gone
Anti-pater (Antipas)
Anti-och
Anti-Lebanon
Anti-freeze
Anti-bellum

Historians and Biblical experts, seem to have various uses for "anti", such as "resisting, against, over", etc., can you suggest others?

Why would a son be named "resisting the father?", or "against the father?" Could "father" have a meaning other than that of a direct ancestor? Who or what was "och?", as in Anti-och?
