Thanks for the ideas, I found a copy of geoffrey's work at the University of Rochester.
I am a fan of nietzche's but I disagree with him on a lot of things. I find him very childish in a number of ways - the will to power and all that. But he was also very creative and liked the shake the trees.
But I do believe that in trying to understand the world and other people that we sort of do create our own version of reality. Knowledge is in the world, it is not in our heads!
