Alexander the Great was of course 33 when he finished conquering the world and died. His mother was named Olympias. The grandmother of Aristobulous was also named Olympias and he was in his early thirties at the time of the crucifixion. However, the plan of Aristobulous/Jesus was not to die like Alexander (or another role model Tutankhamun), but to cheat death and continue ruling! Well, he didn't die at the age of 33 but neither did he finish conquering the world before his actual death in A.D. 64 while still in the "ascended" state. After the mock resurrection, Aristobulous adopted son of Herod of Chalcis was first made heir to the throne of Chalcis. Later he became king in Armenia. His death unleashed the first of several violent attempts to overthrow the Roman occupation of Israel.
