It's comforting to think that I might be on the right track with my research of the Herodian family tree.
Using google I searched (placing the quote marks as shown)
“family tree” herod
and came up with several interesting family trees for Herod
Agrippa is an interesting family link. Was Agrippa in the family tree the famous Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa (c. 63 – 12 BCE) the Roman military commander associated with the defeat of Antony and Cleopatra and obviously very friendly with Octavian later known as Augustus?
Another interesting one is Drusilla (who later married Augustus) in the Herod tree as offspring of Cypros and Herod Agrippa (ruled 41-44 CE).
As usual there are so many obscure names and name changes that it seems impossible to untangle the connections. And the fertile mind at work wonders what Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa was doing just prior to a certain “immaculate” conception.
The on-line Jewish Encyclopedia on “Mariamne” is also highly interesting but is it credible?
