I quite agree with you...Indians are either notoriously blatant fibbers or "historically challenged" and will assume creation of everything on the planet...when in fact their history was
dependent upon,and totally linked to the great cultures already in progress around them. I think perhaps the explanation lies in the fact that they were in constant flux...many peoples invading from Asia and the south..and as far as the African coast...so it became a melting pot of races and ideas.. Indians are their own worse historians...so I accept your postulation. :-)
