Thank you, this is very interesing. I am reading a book of Professor Eisenman, The DDS and the Early Christians. He seems to suggest that Jesus may have been a pharisee, an ally of the herodians. Barbara Thiering also makes this point. This does take it one step farther! Was James then also a herodian? Eisenman sees him as a rabid opponent of the herodians and the Romans.
This makes me think of Pilate's statement, "What is truth."
