The name Alcibiades wasn't catchy! But, I do see a hint of it in the Spanish El Cid. In a more immediate sense, Alcibiades' flamboyant style inspired the likes of Alexander the Great and Hasmonean Alexander II (Julius Caesar), who like Alcibiades weren't content with only ruling part of the Empire. They had to have it all.
